Embryos

HATTAF is committed to the education of our children. In October 8, 2007 the first scholarship ever to be given to students of the African Traditional faith was presented to two outstanding Osogbo, junior and high school students respectively. Yeye Osun Yvonne Ifalola Ojoose Oyadare Williams, an African-American Osun Priestess and member of HATTAF gave $1,500 to each of the two students for their continuing education.

Family Support

Relief monies which are sent to Africa often come from Christian families and Christian families are the beneficiaries. You may well be aware of the Christian Childrens Fund, Red Cross, UNICEF and the Salvation Army. Families in the African Traditional Religion are usually marginalized and asked to forsake their traditional concept of God. As more western products come into African countries with the resultant need to be a part of the western economy, Christian and Muslim families have easier access to these products, services and benefits. The result is that the Traditional families have less access to education, jobs and social mobility. Traditional families are therefore poorer and less able to provide for themselves and preserve their traditions.

In order to alleviate poverty among families in the Traditional religion, HATTAF raises funds to support these families in Nigeria. Presently, two families are being given a monthly donation to help raise their standard of living. HATTAF desires to help more Traditional families raise themselves from poverty to self-sufficiency.
